If you haven't been to a Physiotherapist before it can be quite worrying, however, we have compiled a list of commonly asked questions to help put you at ease. From what Physiotherapy is to paperwork all your questions will be covered on this page.

On Point Physio Ltd. is a professional and accredited Physiotherapy practice. You can rest assured that our clinic has excelled at our accreditations and audits. We are part of the board of physical therapists which means that we are bound by a certain code of conduct. All of this helps to ensure that our physiotherapy practice brings you safe effective physiotherapy services. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us!

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a science-based healthcare profession that promotes recovery in illness, injury or disability. It aims to restore movement and functional ability to the person's full potential.

Will Physiotherapy hurt?

Generally, no however exercises that are used for strength may create some muscle fatigue. If your treatment does cause pain during or after your treatment plese advise us ASAP so we can make adjustments.

What should I bring to my first physio appointment?

If you have been referred by another health practitioner bring all referral forms and paper work with you. However, if  you do not have a referaal you will not need any more information.

What should I wear?

Wear any comfortable loose-fitting clothing so that we can have access to the affected areas. However, we have gowns just in case we need more access to areas such as your back etc.

How much does it cost?

What is a private assessment/ treatment?

A private treatment involves anything that is outside of what is covered by ACC including but not limited to chronic long term conditions, neurological conditions and cardiorespiratory conditions. Private treatments are the same as ACC but depend on the condition you are being assessed for. Please free to contact us if you have any questions.

How long is each session?

Usually inital ACC or Private sessions last up to 60min and followup appointments last up to 45min

Do you have a cancellation policy?

At the moment we do not enforce any cancellation fees however please be mindful and respectful of our time and if you feel you will not be able to make your appointment please contact us 24 hours before your appointment.

Will I see the same therapist each time?

Yes, we aim to continue our care with our patients throughout the treatment and rehabilitation program. However if for some unexpected reason your therapist is unable to see you we have a robust and well-audited note-taking system to ensure the continuation of care.
